About Me

I'm an Associate Professor of Biology at Liberty University where I teach Human Anatomy & Physiology, as well as Biochemistry.  I've been at Liberty University since 2003.

The Barefoot Book is a 168-page, one-stop resource on the benefits and challenges of shedding your shoes.  There are so many reasons (at least 50!) why going barefoot is healthier than wearing 'foot coffins'. I encourage everyone to spend more time barefoot, for the health of their feet and bodies, and the pleasure of touching the environment. Sadly and unnecessarily, the social hurdles to barefooting are far more difficult to overcome than the physical ones. Fortunately, we can change that!  How? By simply going barefoot. As the slogan for a shoe company says, just do it!

Currently, I'm on a book tour to promote my book, and encourage people to slip out of their shoes!
